GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. The Cemetery gates shall be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  2. The Cemetery office shall be open between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
  3. No dogs shall be allowed to run at large within the grounds of the cemetery.
  4. Visitors to the cemetery will not be allowed to bring refreshments into the grounds, nor to scatter about the grounds, papers or other unsightly objects.
  5. Children under the age of 10 years will not be admitted within the cemetery grounds unless attended by an adult, who will be responsible for their conduct while in the cemetery.
  6. All persons are prohibited from climbing trees or from crossing over enclosures of any lot or plot or of the cemetery as a whole
  7. All persons are prohibited from picking any flowers, either wild or cultivated, from breaking any trees, shrub or plant and from defacing and injuring any monument, fence or other structure in or about the cemetery, under penalty of the law.
  8. No signs of any kind will be permitted on lots, plots or mausoleums. No advertisements in any form will be permitted on any work in the Cemetery, and the Cemetery reserves the right to remove any such signs or advertisements.
  9. If any trees or shrubs situated in any lot shall, by means of their roots, branches or otherwise, become detrimental to adjoining lots or avenues, or inconvenient to visitors, the Directors shall have the right, and it shall be their duty, to enter the said lot and remove the said trees or shrubs, or such parts thereof as they shall determine to be detrimental or inconvenient.
  10. The giving of gratuities or fees to the Superintendent or to any workmen in his employ for personal services or attention, is forbidden.
  11. No soliciting of alms for the privilege of reciting prayers shall be permitted within the Cemetery grounds at any time.
  12. All soliciting of orders for work of any kind or description in or about the cemetery grounds is strictly prohibited, and any person found by the Superintendent to be violating this rule shall not be permitted to enter the cemetery or to contract for any work to be done therein thereafter.
  13. Lot owners may plant in their lots, such trees, shrubs and plants, as the superintendent shall approve, and same must not be cut down or removed without his consent. No artificial plants, shrubs or trees will be allowed in the cemetery.
  14. Outside contractors will be permitted only when they procure a permit from the owner of the lot and file with the Cemetery, a bond to indemnify it against any damage which said contractor may cause to either the property of the lot owner, the Cemetery, or any other owner.
  15. All workmen employed in the construction of any work, will be subject to the supervision of the Cemetery.
  16. All work must cease during funeral services in the vicinity.
  17. In making excavations, etc., the Cemetery reserves the right to temporarily use the adjoining lot or lots to receive such tools, machinery or material as is necessary to perform all work.
  18. Facial etchings or pictures of the deceased will be allowed on monuments, pending approval of the image by the Cemetery.

INTERMENTS AND DISINTERMENTS

  1. No body except that of person of the Jewish persuasion shall be interred within the grounds of the cemetery.
  2. Burial of pet cremains is strictly prohibited.
  3. Only one body or cremains shall be permitted to be interred in a grave.
  4. The scattering of cremains is prohibited.
  5. Funerals shall enter the main gate of the cemetery and the undertaker in charge thereof shall report to the Superintendent's office before proceeding to the place of the proposed interment.
  6. At least six hours' notice of a proposed interment shall be given to the Superintendent.
  7. At least twelve hours' notice of any proposed disinterment shall be given to the Superintendent, after all proper affidavits, etc., are processed. Disinterment's will not be allowed during the months of June, July & August.
  8. No interment or disinterment shall be permitted to be made simply upon the production of a deed to the plot, unless such deed shall appear upon its face to have been duly registered in the office of the cemetery and shall be accompanied by a permit from the registered owner, unless the interment be that of the registered owner or his widow. If title be in an association or corporation, the permit must be signed by a titled officer.
  9. All orders for interments or disinterment's must be accompanied by the required permits of the Department of Health, and before any grave is opened, all fees therefor must be paid.
  10. No interment will be allowed to be made in any lot or plot without a written or printed permit by the owner or owners thereof, or by his, her or their legal representatives, containing the name, date of death, age and legal last residence of the person to be interred.
  11. Interments are not permitted on Saturdays or any Jewish Holiday.

MONUMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. All ledgers or beds must have Perpetual Care paid in advance.
